Bracken is a small village in the Rural Municipality of Lone Tree No. 18, in southwestern Saskatchewan. It sits on Highway 18, about 160 km south of Swift Current, directly north of Grasslands National Park and roughly 20 km north of the Montana border.
The village takes its name from John Bracken, a professor at the University of Saskatchewan who went on to become Premier of Manitoba and leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada. Bracken incorporated as a village on January 4, 1926.
Today the village's students are bused to Frontier, where the Chinook School Division runs a school for kindergarten through grade 12.
